There are many different reasons as to why a dentist would decide that a tooth extraction needs to be performed. A dentist may decide to try putting a crown on the tooth or fix it by inserting a filling in the tooth, when the tooth is broken, injured or has decayed beyond repaired. Other reasons that a tooth extraction may have to be performed the teeth that are entering through the gums might get clogged from permanent teeth that are already in place.  People who need to wear braces to put their teeth into the correct areas might have to have a tooth extraction to make more room for the existing teeth. People who are sick with cancer, or are taking certain medications might have to have certain teeth removed when their immune system is weak and the teeth are not receiving the nutrients that are needed to keep the teeth healthy. When a person reaches their early twenties, the teeth that are usually removed when they start coming in are the wisdom teeth that can cause congestion for the permanent teeth already in place. The wisdom teeth often cause tenderness and infection unless treated immediately.

Once it has been determined by your qualified dentist that a tooth must be removed the next step to consider is the tooth extraction cost. Removing a tooth can be very simple or it can be very complicated and without dental insurance the cost can range anywhere from $75.00 to $650.00 depending on how far the infection has moved through the gums. If the tooth is obstructed with infection the tooth extraction cost is going to be higher and more painful. It is important to get the tooth looked after as quickly as possible saving time and money. The longer a person waits to have an impacted tooth cared for the longer it will take to get well and the more the tooth extraction cost will be. Depending on which tooth has to be removed also depends if cosmetic surgery will be required which costs a considerable amount. Best thing to do is to get the tooth taken care of immediately and keep the costs down.
We hear occasionally about people having to have a tooth implant that are fake roots that are used as a support system done on the space where their teeth have fallen out, been knocked out or decayed and putting them in will help to keep the jaw strong and healthy Sometimes when teeth have decayed, or get hit or the gums become infected a tooth implant must be done for the health of the patient. People who have missing teeth from their mouth will have problems eating, they will not want to smile and will often cover up their mouths when speaking with another person to cover up the spaces in their mouth. When a tooth implant is put in this helps to support the jaw for chewing and encourage people to smile and speak clearer giving them the confidence they need when speaking with another person.
